General Questions

  • What camera do you use?

I'm currently shooting on a Panasonic GH5

  •  Am I able to have multiple looks for my session

Yes, of course! I believe 2-3 looks brings a wonderful element of diversity amongst the photos.

  • Did you go to school for photography or FILM?

No, I taught myself everything I know about photography and film. I decided not to go to college or university as I was already so deeply involved with my own work, and so far I'm glad I chose to carve my own path.

  • What editing program do you use?

I use Adobe Photoshop to edit all my photos, but have just recently started playing around in lightroom as well. For video I use Premier Pro.

  • How do you pick the location

I always try my hardest to pick locations that complement the season. For example during winter I try to pick locations with snow and christmas lights!

  • How long did it take to gain a substantial following on your personal Instagram?

I started posting my personal work on Instagram about 3-4 years ago, and my following has gradually and organically accumulated since. For me, Instagram is about sharing my art and connecting with others.  It can be easy to get caught up in the number game, but if I'm honest, I try not to think about it. I create out of passion, and if my art can connect with even just a few people, that's enough for me.

  • How would you describe your style

My images reflect my love of clean composition, beautiful light, and helping you to look your best! There is a delicate balance of knowing when to stay back and capture the action that unfolds or when to step in and take advantage of magical light and situation.

  • How would you describe your editing

I would describe my editing as "forever changing" I believe as an artist it's important to grow and develop over time. Similar to fashion my editing style changes with the season. I use editing as a tool to help enhance the overall beauty of  the image in ways that can't always be controlled naturally. Through editing, I am able to paint the photo as if it was a canvas.

  • Besides Color Adjustments what else do you edit

A main focus of my editing is to eliminate distractions. I find so often a perfect moment is wrecked by an ugly sign or an awkward crease. I treat it as my responsibility to minimize these small imperfections.

  • Where are you based and are you willing to travel

I am based in Vancouver but spend most weekends in the lower Fraser Valley. I am most definitely up for traveling! I have discounted travel fees because I look forward to any opportunity to travel. As its a wonderful opportunity to be inspired!

Wedding Questions

  • How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

My calendar fills up quickly so you should plan to book about 12 months in advance.  If you are planning on a shorter timeframe, please contact me to check availability!

  • Do you shoot (Large / Small / Indian / Jewish / Christian / Gay / Non-religious) weddings?

Yes, of course!  It would be my pleasure to document your celebration of any faith, non-faith, or orientation.

  •  How do I ensure unbelievable photos on my wedding day

Definitely prioritize time for photos throughout the day to avoid rushing through this process. As well as considering the time of day, for instance, the most flattering lighting is at sunset, so if possible prioritize time around this period for photographs.

  • Do you work with a secondary shooter for every wedding

Depending on the size of the wedding and the schedule for the day I will recommend a secondary shooter, but it is always an option that can be added to any package.
